About Gina Hayes

For over 20 years, Gina Hayes has been the reliable constant in a region that moves fast and changes often. Grounded by the discipline of her Navy father and the moral clarity of her mother, she built her life on the belief that stability is something you create through hard work and purpose. Now, as she begins her next chapter, she carries that history forward ready to bring a steady, principled hand to St. Tammany’s future.

Gina Hayes, a quiet force behind local government in St. Tammany, Covington, and St. Bernard, served as Chief Administrative Officer for the last 14 years. She has been the glue that kept operations together through crises, transitions, and storms. She studied under 3 mayors, 7 parish presidents and dozens of council members and state legislators. On the job, Gina has learned the best and worst of government.

Tested and prepared to take the reins of St. Tammany, Gina brings technical expertise to the challenges shaping St. Tammany’s future. An urban planner, she knows that roads must be added, connected and widened, drainage must be strengthened, communities must be protected, and families deserve opportunity. Active in her community, Gina’s work across civic organizations reflects a career built on stewardship rather than spotlight.

Her steely resolve comes from surviving and overcoming loss. Determined and disciplined, her skill has become more powerful and more refined in each new role. A collaborator by instinct, a problem solver by training, and a leader shaped by unwavering commitment, Gina has the resume to be one of St. Tammany’s most effective parish presidents.

Never mistake her warmth or compassion for weakness; they are the source of her strength. And chief among her most enviable traits is her humility, the rare kind that makes people trust her, not because she demands it, but because she earns it, day after day. Gina Hayes. Experience you can trust.
